ZHANG Longxi is Chair Professor of Comparative Literature and Translation at City University of Hong Kong, elected foreign member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities, member of the Executive Council of the International Comparative Literature Association, and Advisory Editor of New Literary History. His main research fields include: East-West cross-cultural studies. Some major publications include: The Tao and the Logos: Literary Hermeneutics, East and West (1992), Mighty Opposites (1992), Allegoresis (2006); Unexpected Affinities (2007); From Comparison to World Literature (2014).
