Currently Professor for Chinese Philosophy at Renmin University of China, before which taught at the Institute of Sinology at the University of Munich in Germany and at the National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Main research fields include: the concept of life in Chinese and Buddhist Philosophy. Major publications include: German translation of Yijing (2009), A Study on the Imitations of the Yì jīng from the Hàn Dynasty through the Míng Dynasty (1998).
