Eberspächer Cord is Full Professor at Hunan Normal University in Changsha and Adjunct Professor at the University of Bonn. His research focuses on China’s modern history with special emphasis on global history, Sino-German relations as well as military and naval history. Among his numerous publications are  Prussia-Germany and China, 1942-1911. An annotated edition of source material ,  Knowledge Exchange  and  Modernization Processes between Europe and China and Japan , and  China's Imperial Wars .
