AMES, Roger T.
Roger T. Ames is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Hawai’i, Humanities Chair Professor at Peking University and Academic Director of the Berggruen Research Center. His research focuses on Chinese philosophy and culture, and comparative philosophy. Among his numerous publications are Thinking Through Confucius (1987), Thinking from the Han: Self, Truth, and Transcendence in Chinese and Western Culture (1997), and The Democracy of the Dead: Confucius, Dewey, and the Hope for Democracy in China (1998).

CHARD, Robert
Robert Chard is a fellow of St Anne's College, Associate Professor of Classical Chinese at University of Oxford. His research focuses on cultural history of Confucianism and Confucian ritual studies (禮學). Among his numerous publications is a recent book, Creating Confucian Authority: The Field of Ritual Learning in Early China to 9 CE (Brill, 2021).

Du Peng is Professor of Demography and Gerontology at Renmin University of China, a Vice President of Renmin University of China and a former President of International Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics in Asia Oceania Region. His research focuses on Population Aging and Social Gerontology. Eberspächer Cord is Full Professor at Hunan Normal University in Changsha and Adjunct Professor at the University of Bonn. His research focuses on China’s modern history with special emphasis on global history, Sino-German relations as well as military and naval history. Among his numerous publications are Prussia-Germany and China, 1942-1911. An annotated edition of source material, Knowledge Exchange and Modernization Processes between Europe and China and Japan, and China's Imperial Wars.
