Rodionov Aleksei is Senior Deputy Dean and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Asian and African Studies, St Petersburg State University and literary translator. His research focus on modern Chinese literature, Russian–Chinese literary communication and translation studies. Among his numerous publications are Handbook of Chinese Literary History, Lao She and the National Character in Chinese Literature in the 20th Century, The Pace of Chinese Literature Going Global: the Spread of Chinese Contemporary Novels and Prose in Russia After the Disintegration of the Soviet Union; National Image and Promotion of Literature: Some Observations on Recent Russian- Chinese Literary Communication; Images of Russia in Chinese Literary Periodicals at the Beginning of the 1930s: Nationalist Perspective etc.
