Yong Wang is a PhD in Philosophy, Director of the Development Planning Division of the Center for Sino-foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, and a researcher at the Confucius Institute of Renmin University of China. His research focuses on international Chinese language education,  The Gongyang Commentary on The Spring and Autumn Annals , and Confucianism history and philosophy. He has published several papers.
