Ludovica Lena is a PhD of INALCO, Paris, and La Sapienza University of Rome, majoring in Linguistics and Language Teaching, and a member of the CRLAO (The Center for East Asian Linguistics). In 2016 she was awarded by the Confucius Institute “Sino-Foreign Joint Research PhD Fellowship” which allowed her to engage in joint doctoral research at Xiamen University. Her research focuses on Chinese discourse-pragmatics and second language acquisition, contrastive analysis of presentational structures in French and in Chinese, with a special reference to existential sentences. Her current research projects are “crosslinguistic comparaison of existential sentences in a multilingual corpus”.
