Wu Zhen is Professor of School of Liberal and Arts at Renmin University. Her research focuses on Ancient Opera, Tang and Song Literature and Taoism and . Among her numerous publications are  A Study of the Single Copy of Yunmen Zhuan (2020), A Probe into the Japanese Religious Gesture: People and Books in the History of Sino-Japanese Cultural Exchange (2019), Adding Notes to Divinity: The History of Worship for YeFashan in Tang and Song Dynasties (2012).
