Daniel Canaris is Associate Professor of Xue-heng Institute for Advanced Stddies at Nanjing University. His research focuses on the history of the Society of Jesus in China and the exchange of ideology between China and the West. His publications include Vico and China (2020), and Michele Ruggieri's Tianzhu shilu (forthcoming, 2021).
