María José Borja is young scholar of University San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador and has a master’s degree in School of International Relations, Renmin University. She is also member of the Latino (and Hispanic) Americanist Academic Network on Sinological Studies. Her research focuses on the evaluation of cooperation mechanisms between Latin America and China as well as the Chinese diaspora to Ecuador. Her current research project is investigation on Chinese migration to Ecuador coordinated by IAEN researchers and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador.
