HU Jing is a scholar of Korean social historian and digital humanities scholar, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at KU Leuven, Belgium. She also holds the role of ‌Subject Expert in Korean Studies‌ at the Berlin State Library, Germany. Sheearned her Ph.D. from Leiden University (LU) in the Netherlands, with her research primarily focusing on Korean social history‌, —especially ‌marginalized social groups‌—and the integration of ‌digital humanities‌ methodologies in historical analysis.
