Kaushal Kishore Chandel works as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Chinese and South East Asian Studies (CCSEAS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He was recipient of the prestigious "Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship 2019-20" at India China Institute, The New School, New York. He was also a Visiting Researcher at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), Beijing, supported by Hanban's (Confucius Institute Headquarters) "Understanding China Fellowship 2018-19". His areas of interest are: Learning and Teaching Chinese Language and Culture; China's Cyber Strategies and Policies; Translation Theories and Approaches (Chinese-English and English-Chinese); China's Strategic Culture etc. His recent publications include China's Perception of Cyber Security: Conflict and Cooperation with BRICS Nations  (retitled as China's Cyber Issues ), has been published as a book chapter in the book titled China and the BRICS, Setting Up a Different Kitchen  published in 2016 by Pentagon Press, New Delhi.
