Ji Xianbai is an Associate Professor at the School of International Studies, Renmin University of China (RUC), and holds leadership roles as Director of the the Institute for South and Southeast Asian Studies under RUC’s Academy of Regional and Country Studies. He concurrently serves as a Senior Research Fellow at RUC’s Policy Research Office. He earned a Ph.D. from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His main research focus on multilateralism and regionalism, sanctions, economic warfare, and Southeast Asia political economy. He has published over a dozen articles in journals such as the Chinese Journal of International Politics , The Pacific Review , Asia Europe Journal , and Southeast Asian Studies . He has also authored or co-edited three English-language books. He has held research or visiting scholar positions at RSIS, the EU Centre in Singapore, the Australian National University (ANU), and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
