Hua Yuanyuan is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Dalian University of Foreign Languages, where she serves as the Director of the Confucius Institute Office and Disciplinary Leader in Comparative Literature‌. She is also a Fulbright Scholar to the United States and Research Scholar at Stanford University at Stanford University‌, USA. Her academic appointments include: Standing Council Member (Youth Affairs Coordinator) of the Chinese Comparative Literature Association; Executive Committee Member of Liaoning Provincial Federation of Social Sciences; Deputy Secretary-General of Liaoning Foreign Literature Association. Her representative publications include Studies on American Ecofeminist Literary Criticism, The Dao of Ecology: The Reception of Daoist Thought in American Nature Writing, Transgression and Integration: Comparative Literary Studies, etc. Her research achievements have been honored with Sixth and Ninth Liaoning Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Awards (Second Class), and the Biennial Outstanding Academic Paper Award from Chinese Comparative Literature journal.
