Liangyu Hu is a lecturer at the School of Literature, Beijing Language and Culture University(BLCU). He holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and World Literature from at Peking University’s Department of Chinese Language and Literature, with a joint doctoral training experience at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His primary research areas include cultural studies, film theory, and the Cultural Cold War. His representative works include the Chinese translation of A Geographical History of America, and he has published several articles in academic journals such as Theoretical Studies in Literature and Art, Contemporary Cinema, Film Art, and Chinese Writers.
