Zhao Yu is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Media and International Culture, Zhejiang University (ZJU). She currently serves as Vice Dean of the college, a member of the university’s Academic Committee, Director of the Institute of Broadcasting, Film and Television Studies, and Deputy Director of the Integrated Media Research Center. Her research focuses on intelligent media, communication ethics, and digital culture. She has been recognized as a national leading scholar in broadcasting, television, and online audiovisual theory, and as a leading theoretical talent in Zhejiang Province’s “Five Talent Groups” program. Professor Zhao also acts as a media advisor to Zhejiang Satellite TV and Zhejiang Film & TV Group, and holds various academic positions, including expert member of the National Radio and Television Administration’s Media Convergence Group, vice president of the Television History Research Committee of the China Television Artists Association, and executive member of several national journalism and communication societies. Her representative works include From Digital TV to Internet TV: Media Policy Paradigm and Its Transformation  and China Blue: The Zhejiang Model of Innovation in Provincial Satellite TV Development . Her notable papers include Key Issues and Trends in News Ethics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence  and News Ethics in the Age of AI: Action and Governance.
