HUANG, Youyi serves as Executive Vice President of Translators Association of China, Deputy Director of the China Academy of Translation, Director of the English Expert Committee for the National Translation Qualification (Level) Examination, Director of the Senior Professional Title Evaluation Committee for the National Translation Series, Director of the Expert Committee under the National Steering Committee for Master of Translation and Interpreting Education, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Library of Chinese Classics.

His primary research focus is literature translations. Recent editorial contributions include serving as Englishfinal reviewer for Selected Reading from the Works of Xi Jinping (Volume I and II), etc. His representative publication is From "Translating the World" to "Translating China" : An Anthology of International Communication and Translation Practice, etc.
