Li Weirong is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, and Postdoctoral Co-Supervisor at Yuelu Academy, Hunan University. Member of the Collaborative Innovation Platform for the National Cultural Project "Ancient Chinese Characters and the Inheritance and Development of Chinese Civilization" , concurrently serving as Council Member of the Chinese Comparative Literature Association, and Executive Council Member of the Hunan Confucius Association.
His primary engaged in teaching and research on intellectual and cultural history,, the history of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and comparative literature. He currently leading a National Social Science Fund Post-Funding Project and a Hunan Provincial Social Science Fund Project.
His representative monograph Studies on the Book of Changes in the English-Speaking World (2018) was awarded the Second Prize in the 15th Hunan Provincial Social Sciences Outstanding Achievements Awards (2021).
