Rodionov Aleksei, a sinologist, literary translator, Ph.D., professor, and doctoral supervisor. He currently serves as the Executive Deputy Dean of the School of Asian and African Studies at St. Petersburg State University, Vice Chairman of the Russia-China Friendship Association in St. Petersburg, a council member of the Confucius Institute at St. Petersburg University, and a visiting professor at Heilongjiang University. His main research interests include modern and contemporary Chinese literature, Sino-Russian literary relations, and translation studies. His representative works include Handbook of Chinese Literary History,Lao She and the Question of National Character in 20th Century Chinese Literature,The Global Reach of Chinese Literature: The Dissemination of Contemporary Chinese Fiction and Prose in Russia Post-Soviet Union,National Image and Literary Communication: Thoughts on Contemporary Sino-Russian Literary Exchanges, and The Image of Russia in Chinese Nationalist Publications of the Early 1930s, etc.
