Fu Xiaoxing is a professor and ‌Vice Dean‌ (Acting Dean) at the School of Sociology, Renmin University of China (RUC). Her research focuses on visual anthropology, action ethnography, medical anthropology, and studies on gay male communities. Her notable publications include From Action to Action Ethnography: A Study on Youth Volunteerism and Space, Culture, and Performance: An Anthropological Study of Gay Men in City A, Northeast China. Her anthropological films include No Rest of Life: Uncle Shen and The Story of "Fruit": Exploring Indigenous Models of Volunteer Service.
