DU, Peng is the former Vice President of Renmin University of China, Dean of the School of Population and Health, Director of the Institute for Healthy China, Director of the Institute of Gerontology, and Professor at Renmin University of China. He is a Member of the Expert Committee of the National Working Commission on Aging, Vice President of the China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, and Vice President of the China Population Association.

Main research areas: Population aging, aging policy, population and development.
