CHEN Mo, currently a Professor and a Ph.D. holder at Renmin University of China (RUC). Her main research areas are applied linguistics and international of Chinese language communication. She has received several prestigious honorssuch as the title of “Cultural Expert and Youth Talent in Propaganda, Ideology, and Culture” from the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, the 16th Higher Education Young Teacher Award from the Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation, and the Second Prize of the 14th Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award.  As of now, she has hosted around 20 key projects funded by the National Social Science Fund, the Social Science Fund of the Ministry of Education, and the Beijing Social Science Fund. She has been invited to serve as a special editor for CSSCI journals and a reviewer for international academic journals. As a teacher sponsored by the Chinese government, she has taught at the University of Zurich and Mount Holyoke College. Her representative works include The Mechanism of Foreign Accent Formation in Chinese as a Second Language  and A Study on Tone and Pause in Chinese as a Second Language . Notable articles include The Impact of Social Networks and Language Identity on Oral Production in L2 Chinese"  and The Acquisition of Declarative Sentence Intonation in Chinese as a Second Language ,among others .
