LIANG, Chen is a professor at Nanjing University, jointly affiliated withthe School of History of the Republic of China . He serves as the Associate Dean of the School of History, Vice President of the Jiangsu Provincial Historical Society, and Council Member of the Chinese Society for Modern History. Recognized through Chinese national "Ten Thousand Talents Program" as a Leading Talent in Philosophy and Social Sciences (2023) and Young Top-notch Talent (2019).

His research focus on quantitative historical studies, social history, and modern higher education, and intellectual group studies. He has published academic papers in journals including Social Science in Chinese, Historical Studies, Sociological Studies, Modern Chinese History Studies, and‌modern higher education and intellectual group studies and The China Quarterly‌. . His monograph Silent Revolution: A Study of the Social Sources of Students at Peking University and Soochow University(1952-2002)(Commercial Press, 2013; revised ed., SDX Joint Publishing, 2023) received the ‌Youth Achievement Award‌ (Ministry of Education's Outstanding Research Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences) and ‌Second Prize‌ of Jiangsu Province Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences.
