Dario Famularo obtained a doctoral degree from the School of Philosophy at Fudan University. Currently, he holds a position as a postdoctoral researcher at the Belt and Road Institute, Beijing Language and Culture University.

His main research interests include the history of sinology overseas, the history of cultural exchange between China and the West, and the history of European conceptions of China.

He has published several articles in academic journals, including International Sinology (forthcoming), Monumenta Serica(forthcoming), Journal of Modern Italian Studies (2024), International Comparative Literature(2023) and more.
