Giray Fidan is a translator, sinologist, and professor at Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University in Turkey. He has translated and published several works from Chinese. His translation of Sunzi Bingfa (The Art of War) marked the first direct translation from Chinese literature into Turkish. His notable translations and publications include The Analects of Confucius, Lao She’s A Tale of Cat City, and Zhang Wei's Ancient Ship, among others. He was honored with the Young Achievement Award at the 10th Special Book Award of China.
