Foundations of New Sinology and Core Categories of Onto-Hermeneutics

Onto-hermeneutics has been developed from mutual interpretation between the East and the West, the self and the other, the past and the present, language and being, and the world and the mind. The main concern of this article is the manner in which one is to understand onto-hermeneutics as laying the foundation for new sinology.  I interpret onto-hermeneutics as hermeneutics of ontology, as generative, which is to be distinguished from ontology as reified objects. Here lies the difference between the Western approach and Chinese approach to being, namely between being as being and being as generative or creative. I have introduced four core categories, five propositions and the concept and act of transcendental integration as the basis of translation and understanding.  I will discuss how one transforms or treats onto-hermeneutics so interpreted in this manner as a methodology of the new sinology.

新汉学的基础与本体诠释学的核心范畴

我们可以从本体诠释学的基本范畴来更精确的说明中西本体的异同以及如何 建立理解与沟通,作为新汉学发展的基础。 我将本体诠释学界定为存在自本而体的发生与发展的理解,以区别于静态抽象化的本体论。本文主要说明如何从本体诠释的方法来理解本体诠释学。又从古希腊和中 国的不同的进路来讨论存在,显示中西本体差异表现为作为存在的存在(being as being)和作为发生与创造的存在(being as generative or creative)。我概括出了四个核心范畴、五个命题,引入了超融的概念,并把后者看成中西翻译与理解的基础。 也就是当今应发展的新汉学的方法基础。
