Deputy Director Yin Hanchao visited IPCLC on behalf of the Chinese Studies Center of National Library of China

In the afternoon of June 14, a delegation from the Chinese Studies Center of National Library of China(CSC) visited the Institute for the Promotion of Chinese Language and Culture (IPCLC). Yin Hanchao, Deputy Director of CSC, He Yihang, Li Dongyi and Sun Yuan, Associate Research Librarians, He Nianlun, Librarian, Zhang Xin, Vice President of the School of Chinese Studies and Cultural Exchange of Renmin University of China, Zhang Jing, Administrative Vice Director of IPCLC, and Han Huiying, Research Director of IPCLC, participated in the discussion.

Zhang Xin welcomed the visit of colleagues from CSC. Yin Hanchao introduced the construction history and work orientations of CSC, as well as the focus of this research. Zhang Xin introduced the basic situation of the development history and subject construction of the School of Chinese Studies and Cultural Exchange. Zhang Jing introduced the construction history, work content, organizational structure, work achievements and future plans of the Institute for IPCLC.

In addition, the two sides had an in-depth exchange on promoting cooperation in database resources, overseas cultural dissemination, use of research documents related to international Chinese teaching and learning, and the visit and study of young scholars and students from China and abroad.

After more than ten years of development, CSC has basically formed a multi-dimensional development pattern integrating reading service, consulting service, documentary research, website construction, lecture publication, scientific research collaboration and foreign exchange. The Center's goal is to become a worldwide center for Chinese literature collection, literature research, decision-making reference and cultural exchange. The Center is equipped with a reading room (6-3, Building E, South Section, National Library), which provides literature reading services for readers.
