The Preparatory Meeting for the 2nd World Conference on Sinology held in the Mingde Building of Renmin University of China

On June 26 the Preparatory Meeting for the 2nd World Conference on Sinology was held in the No. 2 conference room of Mingde Building at Renmin University of China. Prof. Yang Huilin and Xue Huanbai, two Vice Presidents of Renmin University, Prof. Wang Guiyuan, Party Secretary of the School of Liberal Arts, Ms. Li Hui, Deputy Director of the Presidential Office of Renmin University, and Mr. Liu Xiuyan, Deputy Director of Institute for the Promotion of Chinese Language and Culture (IPCLC) attended the conference. Some professors from the School of Liberal Arts, Wang Jiaxin, Chen Yang, Yao Dan, Wang Yan, Gao Yong’an, Zhu Guanming, Wang Xiaoyan, Hu Lingli, Chen Qian, Li Xiaoshu, Du Jian and staff members from IPCLC were at the meeting.

At this meeting, members from the Organizing Committee briefly introduced their current work and concerns. At the end of the meeting, final decisions were made upon the list of the honorable guests to be invited for the Second World Conference on Sinology. The list of scholars to be invited for the Consultative Conference was also discussed, and the specific work for the Conference was distributed to each group.
