1.Overview
The “China Studies Program” (CSP) Ph.D. Fellowship, established by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) in collaboration with leading Chinese universities and renowned scholars, is designed to support outstanding young international scholars with an interest in Sinology and China Studies. The program offers opportunities to pursue doctoral degrees or conduct fieldwork in China, aiming to cultivate young scholars with a global academic perspective, a solid understanding of international academic standards, and the ability to engage in international academic exchange and research.
Since 2013, the CSP Ph.D. Fellowship Program, comprising the “Doctoral Degree Fellowship in China” and the “Joint Doctoral Training Fellowship,” has supported over 1,000 outstanding young scholars from more than 90 countries in pursuing doctoral degrees or conducting academic research in China.
CLEC organizes the annual CSP Aspiring Camp to support international students with academic potential and interest in gaining deeper insights into the current state and future directions of Sinology and China Studies in the new era. The camp invites renowned experts in the field to deliver lectures on cutting-edge developments, provide academic research advice, guide Ph.D. applications, discuss academic career paths, and offer assistance with academic writing, empowering young scholars to enhance their research skills.
