Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Hawai’i; Former Editor of Philosophy East and West, and founder of China Review International; Humanities Chair Professor at Peking University, a Berggruen Fellow. Main research fields include Chinese philosophy and culture, and comparative philosophy.
