MACKERRRAS, Colin

Professor Emeritus of Griffith University, Australia. He was conferred“the Friendship Award” in 2004 and won a Special China Book Award (中华图书特殊贡献奖). Main research areas include Chinese theatre, China’s ethnic minorities, Chinese history, especially of the Tang Dynasty, and Western images of China. Major publications include Western Perspectives on the People's Republic of China, Politics, Economy and Society (2015); China in My Eyes, Western Images of China Since 1949 (2013); and China in Transformation, 1900-1949 (2nd Edition) (2008).
