Wang Yong is a Doctor of Philosophy, a Researcher at Confucius Research Institute of Renmin University, and  Chief of Office at Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban). His areas of expertise include the Biography of Gong Yang in Spring and Autumn (Chunqiu Gong Yang Zhuan), Jinwen Confucian Canon, Confucian Philosophy of History, Confucius Institute, and International Communication of Chinese, etc. He has published numerous papers.
