CHENG Sudong
CHENG Sudong(程苏东)is the vice Dean of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Peking University, an associate professor and doctoral supervisor, Ph.D. in Literature from Peking University. He is also an editorial board member of Nanyang Journal of Chinese Literature and Culture. He has presided over a number of projects under the National Social Science Foundation of China, the Humanities and Social Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education, and the Henry Fok Young Teachers' Fund. He has been awarded the 1st Ministry of Education Academic New Talent Award for Doctoral Graduates (2010), the Beijing Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award (2012), the Global Chinese Rising Talent Award for Chinese Nationalism (2020), the Henry Fok Award for Youth Science (2022), and has been selected for the National "Ten Thousand People Program" (2019). His research focuses on history of Confucianism in the Han and Tang dynasties, Confucian philology, pre-Qin and Han literature, early writing culture studies. He has published more than 60 papers in academic journals. His main publication is From the Six Arts to the Thirteen Classics: On the Evolution of Jing Mu(经目).
