文化之间：认同，别异，交流

本文从哲学角度讨论所谓“文化交流”中所蕴含的复杂问题。文化交流必然始于不同文化之开始形成自我认同。自我认同同时也是将文化他者和他者文化排斥于自身之外的活动。本文以《春秋公羊传》中“内其国而外诸夏，内诸夏而外夷狄”（《成公十五年》）之语为中心，分析中国历史上“中国”与“夷狄”之间的复杂文化关系，并进而讨论近代中国与西方之间的复杂文化关系。最后，本文提出了文化交流的几种理论模式。

Between Cultures: Identity, Difference, and Communication

This paper discusses the complicated questions implied by so-called “dialogue between cultures” from the perspective of philosophy. Cultural dialogue must start from the point where different cultures begin to form an identity. This identity also means at the same time the effort to exclude representatives of other cultures and the cultures of others. This paper focuses on the following sentence from the Chunqiu Gongyang Zhuan: “Include the country and exclude the different tribes of Xia, include the tribes of Xia and exclude the barbarian tribes Yi and Di” (Cheng Gong 15 nian).  Based on this passage I will analyze the complicated cultural relationship between the “Middle Kingdom” and the “barbarian tribes Yi and Di.” From there, I will discuss the complicated cultural relationship between China and the West. This essay will conclude by presenting several theoretical models for the dialogue of cultures.
