In the course of history, many nations came to know each other through wars, invasions, trade and political treaties. Since China covers such a large land mass, it neighbors many other countries. One nomadic people group that has lived in the neighboring regions of China are the Turks. This has resulted in a long, rich history of cultural exchange between the Chinese and the Turks. While the Turks were a nomadic people and the Chinese have lived in established settlements, the two groups have had many mutual influences throughout history. The greatest frequency of mutual exchange occurred in the time of the Chinese
Tang Dynasty, a very prosperous dynasty of Chinese history, when different cultures often blended and developed together.

Due to this close contact and cultural exchange, there were mutual influences in the areas of food and drinks, clothing, tools, architecture, dancing, music, singing and musical instruments. In this paper, the author will address these subjects.
