Professor Yang Huilin gives lecture to "China Bridge – Visiting delegation of British Primary and Secondary School Heads"

Professor Yang Huilin was invited to give a lecture in English entitled ‘Chinese Tradition in Cultural Interaction and Inter-cultural Dialogue’ to a visiting delegation of British Primary and Secondary School Heads under the China Bridge programme. The lecture was very well-received by delegates.

The lecture was one in a series of events organized in 2008 by the Hanban and the British Council as part of the ‘Sino-British Chinese Teaching Joint Workshops’ project. In line with the project, each year around 100 British primary and secondary heads and other staff come to China for a visit and to receive language and cultural training.

This year 110 delegates (99 Heads and 11 other regional educational staff members) came from 11 districts, including Kent and Wales. After activities in Beijing finished, the group was split and visited primary and secondary schools in Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Shandon and Guangxi.
