The Second World Conference on Sinology Stepped into the Practical Preparatory Period

The Second World Conference on Sinology is co-sponsored by Hanban and Renmin University, and undertaken by School of Liberal Arts and Institute for the Promotion of Chinese Language and Culture. Ever since January 2009, the preparatory work has been undertaken smoothly. After  discussion with the experts and scholars, and consultation with several correlated partners, the Organizing and Implementing Measures of the Second World Conference on Sinology was approved by Hanban on May 4th. On May 8, the chief leaders of the Organizing Committee for the Conference, Prof. Yang Huilin, Prof. Wang Guiyuan, Prof. Geng Youzhuang, and Mr. Liu Xiuyan made a final decision on the list of invitees for the conference. The Preparatory Committee will start sending out the invitations soon.
