Associate Professor in the School of Liberal Arts of RUC; Director of the Department of Literature and Arts Theories. Main research focuses are: popular culture; cultural industries; western metaphysics; traditional Chinese operas and arts. Recent works include: General Introduction to Japanese Cosmic and Animation Arts, A Systematic Study on Contemporary Chinese Literary Theories, Biography of Xia Yan (co-author).
