Simon Mahony is an Emeritus Professor of Digital Humanities at the Department of Information Studies, University College London (UCL), and a Visiting Professor at the Department of Information Management, Peking University (PKU). He serves as a Corresponding Member of the Sub-Committee on Education and Research for the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme and is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. Additionally, he is a Research Affiliate at King’s College London (KCL) and was formerly an Associate Fellow at the Institute of Classical Studies, School of Advanced Studies, University of London (UCL). Professor Mahony has lectured extensively and published widely on education and pedagogy within the field of Digital Humanities. His research interests include digital humanities, education, communication, information studies, digital storytelling, equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and the open agenda.
